GW can give all Faction items free, but I stay in Kryta!
I still find it so funny that half the people say factions is too hard yet half say it's too easy, then half say it's too pve, then half say it's too pvp... and as far as sins & rits being weak classes, well if you ever played one or pvp you would notice that rits have been added to almost every single build there is. use to it was kill the monk then you've won, now it's kill the rit then the monks & you've won.

I don't mind strong bosses, but it requires a strong processor to deal with them. I have just an average computer. Any boss that I encounter can kill me in less than 10 seconds. Guess what; My computer can't cope with that. You try killing a boss who does over 200 damage every 5 seconds on a lagging and staggering computer. I'm sure you would change your mind.

I know that having a Pentium 4, 2.0 Ghz, Radeon 9250, ASDL connection is not enough to play this game.
Yeah, I read that you wanted to drop this, but Kitty... it's your graphics card that's too weak. The 9250 is horribly weak, intended for office applications, not gaming. For $70-80US you can get a replacement card that'll run GW comfortably (e.g. a Geforce 6600GT-based card, or an ATI Radeon 9800 pro-based card).

Numa ,

For "The Deep" its not a trick , its a necessity. Here is the problem .....

You reach a locked gate. There is no going foward without that gate opening.
The gate can only be opened by 5 people standing on 5 different platforms.

How do you get 4/5 hench to stand on 4/5 platforms ? - you maybe being the 5th
How do you get the rest to go through the now open gate. ?
When someone steps off a platform the gate closes.
The 7 who are passed the gate must kill a group of enemies to trigger the release of more enemies in the previous room.
The 5 who are left in the previous room are now faced with a new horde and if they step off the platform the gate closes.
The normal way to continue from this point is for the 5 to rush to the gate (which closes) let the horde kill them by the gate and have the group of 7 that proceeded to use rebirth to pull them through the gate

I cannot see how this could be henched in its current form

Does this gate prevent or allow assassin teleports through it?

No, what many groups do is let the necros and W/A's stay back and every warrior with recall maintained on a player can cancel it at (all at the same time) to get through. Then the necros can sac and you have all 5 people through.

Winning is fun.

If you are lonely and sadictic, you can join an All Mesmer Deep Team or an Primary Assassin team.

I can't speak for the Deep.
I can speak for Urgoz's Warren, as someone who's been through it and beaten it several times.

The reason why Mesmers and Assassins aren't taken isn't because they suck or because they are useless. It's because the Urgoz is incredibly tough, and so each of the 12 slots have to used extremely efficiently. There is simply less efficiency derived from having an assassin or mesmer in your group as opposed to one of the preferred classes.

Can a group with one of these classes win? Sure...but everyone else in the group will have to compensate for the areas where the Me and especially the Assassin are a liability, or not ideally effective.

There is a lot of room for innovation. I've played in standard groups, trapping groups, etc. The most efficient build I was in contained 4 trappers, 4 fire nukers, a battery, two monks, and a ritualist. See any warriors? We tore through in rapid time, using more than just traps.

So heck, go have fun...but realize that the character that you play is indeed limited. The beauty of GW is that for everything, there is a counterbalance, and nothing is ubiquitous. There are places were assassins are not useful. There are places where mesmers have less use than others. The first fact is readily accepted, the second seems to be giving you guys hemorrhoids. If so, heck, prove me wrong...but after you spend 2 hours in the warren and end up dying because your mesmer couldn't quite handle the Greater Blood Drinkers or what have you....come back and reread the first post.

It's all about fun. So go have it.

Vash and Euryale are in Kaieng Center, near the portal to Raisu Pavillion, will now transport people to Elite Mission. Standard dialogue, and it doesn't appear to be restricted.

ArenaNet really needs new calendars. I'm not complaning, though.

So, read my damn guide!

Watch for me. (Syria Metaphysical, Ritual Lord)

EDIT: Lots of...B/P groups. I'm pleasantly surprised. I doubt it works, though.

Even more Trapper groups. Perhaps I was too nice giving them a little leeway in my PuG guide...

Also, please don't advertise yourself as a MM. They are no good in the Elite missions.

I think the idea that the Elite missions were limited access was a stupid game design, seeing as how it requires CONSTANT grinding to keep access for one alliance alone. Oh well, I'm gonna be happy when Vanguard comes out. :]

So, after being told that B/P groups make sense, I head to The Deep. However, I land into a VERY nice PuG...

We killed Kanaxai with 8 people! That's better than most PuGs.

Other observations:

-We got a Gold from EVERY chest. Dunno if we were just lucky or not.

-Only one Gold dropped from enemies. I got it, of course. (Req 10 15>50 Gavel of the Nephilim! Not bad.)

-Kanaxai didn't drop double greens.

This may be because the event hasn't officially started yet, but I don't know.

I must say the OP is making it sound unneccessarily difficult.

Now aside from my own opinion that all PvE require very little skill and almost all chars and builds can work well, my own experience in the Deep (only 3 times admittedly because I dont care much for PvE and just tried it for fun, 1st time we wiped, 2nd time lost at Kanaxai, 3rd time lost at Kanaxia) is that it's just easy. We had multiple DCs and leavers and I can remember getting to the half way with only 8 ppl both times. These were unorganised groups, had no voice comm and we did fine and very easily reached Kanaxai (couldn't kill him of course).

So is it the case then that it would be better to take 8 ppl than 8ppl + 4 mesmers? Obviously not, so why this whole attitude of not taking mesmers and assassins? Obviously they have less utility than maybe other classes, but who really cares? I do PvE for fun and I have no problems with any class. If u want to quibble about perfect group compositions, then that should only have its place in PvP imo.

BTW I'd love to meet ur triple meteor shower in TA. Ok that was unfair and below the belt

Correct me if I'm wrong but wouldn't an ineptitude + clumsiness mesmer with max illusion be very effective down there?

I popped into the Deep early this morning but didn't actually join a team or enter the mission. I just wanted to see what kind of crowd was there. I saw people advertising for B/P teams (as was mentioned above as well). I curious, has anyone here done it with a B/P team yet? Have there been any reports?

I'm curious because I did B/P teams when they opened up Tombs and was very successful. It was some of the most fun I've had since starting GW. While I have a max damage SS necro and a powerful Nuker, I'd love to try out my Barrage Ranger down there as well.
